Are you the nice one?

  Do you know what sucks about being a nice person? You're usually the one to get stepped on, left out, forgotten about or just straight up ignored. Then you kind of sit back and think to yourself why am I the nice one, why is it so hard for me to be mean to people or for me to put my foot down. Then you kind of wonder should change, should you not change, what parts about you should you change. I'm here to answer that question.
  Don't. Don't change. The nice people are what keep the world positive. In a world full of people who constantly doing just for themselves and things that only benefit themselves, its people like us nice people who have to stand up for the people who don't have voices for themselves. We might get stepped on and left out at times but we are also the people that have the biggest heart for others. We were the ones that are able to have sympathy for those who are in difficult situations. We are able to sit down with them and love them them and give them the kindness and selflessness that they need that the whole world has seems to have forgotten.
  The world nowadays has gotten to mean, to selfish, too cold for people like us to just give up on being the nice people. We go out of our way for other people who won't even take two steps in our direction for us and yes that might suck but we come out on top every time. We are the ones always look like the bigger people, always look like the stronger people. They said the people that are the kindest are also the strongest. Having a big heart not easy, wearing your heart on your sleeve is not easy because we're the first to get hurt, we are also the first understand someone else's hurt. That's a trait the world has seem to have lost.
  So I'm here to tell you don't change. Don't stop being that nice person. Being that nice person can make other person's day, can make other people's life situations a lot better. We might not be able to get to see what our niceness can do for other people but I can guarantee you it goes a lot farther than being mean, hateful, cold and selfish like the whole rest of the world. You never know, you might be a breath of fresh air to someone's cold world. The nice people in the world are gifts because someone in this world has to have a heart for others, and that's our job. I'm not telling you to let yourself be stepped on, I'm telling you the world doesn't need another cold, selfish, bitter person. The world needs your kindness, you are too beautiful of person to change.

This isn’t me

         I didn’t ask for this, I didn’t ask to think this way or feel this way. Believe me when I say I don’t want to be this way. I don’t want to feel sad or anxious, because this is not who I am. I can’t help it, it just happens, sometimes for no reason at all. For me it’s not the kind where I want to lay around all day. I still get up to deal with everything the day has. I don’t want to be shut away from others, I dont want to be secluded, my depression doesn’t always work that way. Though I also don’t want anyone to see me like this. Sometimes I just need a significant change of scenery. Sometimes I need a chance to get away from the suffocation of every day life. Please understand, not all depression makes you push people away.    They say we are only given one life so we need to give it our best shot. As parents, we try to give our children the best life we possibly can even though that's not always the easiest thing to do. There are moments where we sit back and question "Are we doing the right thing", "Is this the right decision for my family", "What could I do differently to make their life better", "Are we teaching them right", "what are they going to be like when they grew up?" All these questions parents ask themselves everyday trying to do the best for their family.
